Katherine Lou (Katie) Bowen passed away on June 3rd, 2026 at the age of 88- exactly one month shy of her 89th birthday. She was born in Lake Mills, WI on July 3rd, 1937 and graduated from Lake Mills H.S. with the Class of '55. In 1956, she married Ronald S. Bowen and in 1963, they moved to CA.

Katie was an office worker in WI & CA, mainly for insurance companies- where she was a typist and policy rater.

In 1975, they moved to Capay, CA where they owned and operated a bar and restaurant called "Ron & Kay's" for over 12 years. She enjoyed bowling with the Senior League, crocheting, playing piano, and gardening in her flower gardens.

Katie is survived by sons: Richard Bowen (Joanna) and Kerry Bowen (Cheri); grandchildren: Tiffany Davey, Cameron Bowen (Hillary), Corrie Upton, Jenna Vetterli (Kaleb), and Jaymie Huss (Billy); great-grandchildren: Colton and Hayden Davey, Lola and Lennon Bowen, Mason, Casey and Zoey Vetterli, and Weston Upton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl & Ruth Korth, husband Ronald Bowen, sister Patricia Roeseler, and son Kenneth Bowen.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at 10am at the Woodland Cemetery. Pastor Andy Flowers will be officiating the service.
